How to Take Lotrimin (Clotrimazole Topical)

 

Per OTC labeling, Lotrimin is for external skin use only. Follow the directions on the product label.

  • Per OTC labeling, clean and dry the area first: wash with mild soap and water, then pat fully dry before applying.
  • Per OTC labeling, apply a thin, even layer: lightly coat the affected skin and approximately 1 inch of the surrounding area.
  • Per OTC labeling, frequency: most Lotrimin creams are applied twice daily (morning and evening).
  • Per OTC labeling, massage in gently until the cream is absorbed.
  • Per OTC labeling, wash your hands after applying unless treating your hands.

    • Athlete's foot: 4 weeks
    • Jock itch: 2 weeks
